Pikmin Bloom x Union Square Alliance: A Blossoming Collaboration

Pikmin x Union Square Alliance

Something curious is sprouting in San Francisco! Small, plant-like creatures known as Pikmin have arrived in Union Square—and they’re ready to explore! These loyal and adventurous companions from planet PNF-404 have been spotted around local landmarks, so keep your eyes peeled… you might see them hanging out nearby!

Nintendo has partnered with Union Square in Pikmin Bloom as a Lead Sponsor of the Union Square Alliance’s beloved annual initiative. This vibrant celebration marks the arrival of spring and summer with floral displays, food, events, and more—honoring Union Square’s longstanding floral heritage. During the launch weekend and again in early July, Pikmin fans will have the opportunity to visit the area and participate in this unique experience!

From May 23rd through July 23rd, located at Union Square, 333 Post Street, the Square Union Alliance will host the Pikmin Bloom MINI WALK, an interactive event powered by the Pikmin Bloom mobile app. To join the adventure, visitors can simply download the app and start exploring the area. Pikmin Bloom adds a layer of fun to everyday outings, encouraging players to discover hidden surprises on their own or with friends.

During the MINI WALK, participants can visit seven Special Spots in the Union Square area to collect in-app Gold Seedlings. For instance, passing by a certain sweets shop might reward you with a Gold Seedling that grows into a Macaron Decor Pikmin. Union Square is the second location in the U.S. to host this unique event since the app's launch.

From May 23 to May 26 and again from July 4 to July 6, visitors can also stop by the Pikmin Pop-Up Tent in Union Square between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day. At the tent, guests can pick up a physical copy of the MINI WALK map, snap a fun photo using the Pikmin Bloom AR Cam, and check in at the My Nintendo kiosk to receive 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points.

If anyone will be attending this event (especially the upcoming July 4th-6th weekend) and are able to share video footage of the event, please let us know! We would like to make a detailed walkthrough video of the event as a form of historical preservation and to share the event with our Japanese audience 😊
