Pikmin Bloom x Hot Girl Walk: Santa Monica Event

Updated: Jun 13

Pikmin Bloom x Hot Girl Walk

Pikmin Bloom players gathered at Santa Monica Beach on Sunday, June 8th, for the Pikmin Bloom x Hot Girl Walk® event!

Hot Girl Walk® was created by Mia Lind as a way to encourage people to get outside, stay active, and reflect on things like gratitude, personal goals, and self-confidence. For Pikmin fans, that meant appreciating their favorite Pikmin, setting goals around flower planting, or feeling accomplished as they built their Decor Pikmin collections. This collaborative outing offered a unique chance to connect with fellow Pikmin fans in a welcoming and positive environment while painting the town with flowers through the Pikmin Bloom app.

The free event was open to participants of all ages and genders. Attendees looked forward to Pikmin-themed photo opportunities and had the chance to earn a Huge Seedling that grew into a Red Present Sticker (Gold) Decor Pikmin. Registration was required to receive event merchandise, including a paper Pikmin sun visor, Pikmin Bloom stickers, and a Hot Girl Walk x Pikmin Bloom Postcard!

Event Schedule:

  • 9:45 AM – 10:30 AM: Check-in

  • 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Walk and flower planting

  • 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Cool down and hang out

For those who couldn’t attend in Santa Monica, participation was also available virtually from anywhere by scanning a QR code to join the official in-app Hot Girl Party Walk, which ran from June 2nd to June 15th.

A few Hot Girl tips from Pikmin Informer that were shared included:

  • Bringing a big water bottle to stay hydrated and looking out for water refilling stations along the route.

  • Taking a portable charger or power bank to ensure phones didn’t run out of battery before flower planting was complete.

  • Reviewing this month’s event tasks ahead of time to make the most of the walk.

  • Keeping an eye out for bloomed flowers and collecting nectar whenever possible.

  • Most importantly, having fun—whether it meant meeting a new friend to join a weekly challenge group or inspiring someone to keep playing Pikmin Bloom.

Participants were encouraged to share their total steps and event photos on Instagram and tag the official Pikmin Bloom account to get featured on their social media page. A recap video was also created after the event which you can watch here.

Missed the event in-person, but still want to be involved? Pikmin Bloom's X account provided a download link to the postcard and are encouraging fans to use #PBFlowerExpedition when sharing it to your socials.
