Pikmin 4 will have 24 Decor Pikmin to collect

In today's Pikmin 4 free update announcement, Nintendo revealed that Decor Pikmin from Pikmin Bloom would be coming to the Nintendo Switch game. While details about the November update were sparse in some areas, we did get a good look at some of the new Decor Pikmin being added in the update. However, Niantic's Pikmin Bloom Blog appears to be giving fans more information about Pikmin 4's free update that was not included in Nintendo's reveal trailer. This November, a free update will bring a fun new twist to your adventures with Pikmin and your loyal rescue pup Oatchi on a mission to save stranded explorers in Pikmin 4! For the first time ever, you will be able to meet and befriend Decor Pikmin in Pikmin 4 — and that’s not all! You will also be able to send these Decor Pikmin to Pikmin Bloom once you enable data transfer between the two games. A total of 24 Decor Pikmin will appear in Pikmin 4, including 10 all-new types! Stay tuned for more details coming soon!
Well, there you have it! In the initial reveal trailer, Nintendo only hinted that there would be more Decor Pikmin to collect than shown. As confirmed by Niantic's blog though, it appears that Pikmin 4 will have exactly 24 Decor Pikmin to collect. There will also be 10 all-new types of Decor Pikmin.
Pikmin Bloom's next major update is set to launch on November 1st. The update will include Ice Pikmin and a larger storage capacity for Pikmin.
Nintendo has not stated when exactly Pikmin 4's free update will be made available. The company has only confirmed that the update will be arriving in November as well. When more information about Pikmin Bloom and Pikmin 4's free updates is posted, you can count on us to keep you all updated.
