A new collaboration is coming to Pikmin Bloom next week to celebrate the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Check out all the information from the official Pikmin Bloom Blog below:
A brand-new adventure is heading to the big screen, and Pikmin Bloom is joining the celebration! To mark the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, we’re hosting a special in-app event inspired by the world of Mario.
This limited-time event brings a touch of cinematic magic to your everyday walks. Take on special missions and grow exclusive Super Mario Keychain Decor Pikmin — and if you’re heading to the theater, even better!

Event Details
At the beginning of the event, users who haven’t linked their Nintendo account to Pikmin Bloom yet will receive an in-app prompt to do so. Linking your Nintendo account to Pikmin Bloom is a requirement to participate in this event. You may want to get ahead and do so already following the instructions here.
Once your Nintendo account is linked to Pikmin Bloom, you’ll receive a set of 3 consecutive missions. Clearing these missions gets you Gold Seedlings that grow into the following event-limited Decor Pikmin.
Mission 1: Grow a seedling from the Movie Theater category and pluck it
Reward: 1 Gold Seedling that grows into a Yellow Super Mario Keychain Decor Pikmin
Mission 2: Walk 2,000 steps
Reward: 1 Gold Seedling that grows into a Purple Super Mario Keychain Decor Pikmin
Mission 3: Complete 2 expeditions
Reward: 1 Gold Seedling that grows into a Red Super Mario Keychain Decor Pikmin
During the event, the probability of finding seedlings near Movie Theaters will be slightly higher than usual. Additionally, when you use your Detector while the Movie Theater category is displayed as a nearby category, at least one of the seedlings found will belong to this category.
You can use a seedling found prior to the beginning of the event to clear mission 1.
Please note that there’s a chance that not all movie theaters may be registered as such on the map, and therefore seedlings for the Movie Theater category may not appear in your expedition list for some locations.
※Niantic Kids accounts will be able to participate in the event without linking to a Nintendo account, but they won’t be able to receive a Gold Seedling for the Blue Super Mario Keychain Decor Pikmin (previously Mario Hat Decor Pikmin) (which is only available via Nintendo account linkage.)
※Users who had already linked their Nintendo account to Pikmin Bloom prior to the event won’t receive a new seedling for the Blue Super Mario Keychain Decor Pikmin (previously Mario Hat Decor Pikmin).
*In order for the event to display correctly, please use app version v140.5 or later.
