Pikmin Terrace, the immersive Pikmin-themed attraction at the Miyajima Service Area on the Sanyo Expressway in Hiroshima Prefecture, is set to pause operations on March 31, 2026, as part of a planned renovation and refresh.
According to an official announcement from NEXCO西日本, the collaboration event will be temporarily closed on that date and is expected to reopen in spring with new features and offerings. The park has confirmed that the reopening will feature new exhibits and exclusive Pikmin Terrace merchandise.
Launched in December 2023 as a limited-time collaboration between NEXCO West Japan and Nintendo, Pikmin Terrace has become a popular roadside destination in Japan. The event features themed photo spots with life-sized Pikmin figures, special merchandise inspired by both the game and the Hiroshima region, and interactive activities for guests.
Previously, the attraction’s duration was extended through March 31, 2026, due to its extreme popularity among locals and tourists.
When more information about Pikmin Terrace's refresh is released, we will be sure to keep you all updated.
