A Sweet Surprise: The Pikmin x Godiva Collaboration in Japan

I always knew Japan was a Pikmin heaven, and this was further confirmed by the recent Japan-exclusive Pikmin x Godiva collaboration. This launch featured an assortment of fruit-themed chocolates, with each truffle showcasing a red, yellow, or blue Pikmin on its surface. Each chocolate had a succulent, fruity core—especially delicious for spring!
I discovered this collaboration at the Godiva in Chiyoda–Akihabara in January 2025. The storefront was impressive, and seeing a niche brand like Pikmin out in the wild—especially in partnership with a popular food brand—felt surreal, particularly as an American. Sightings like this are quite rare in the U.S.
Of course, I had to get one of each item, including the set that came with three zipper pouches. Since I spent a certain amount of yen, the employee even threw in a free Godiva blanket (not pictured)! But the real highlight was definitely the chocolates.
The chocolate boxes came in two sizes: a small, flower-shaped box and a larger, standard rectangular one.
The rectangular GODIVA x PIKMIN chocolate truffle set featured a solid milk chocolate bar, a red Pikmin truffle filled with dark chocolate, a yellow one with white chocolate, and a blue one with apple and strawberry! All in all, it was a tasty experience, memorable for its cute packaging, fun flavors, and Pikmin theme.
The larger rectangular box also included three adorable Pikmin pouches. Each is a different size and features a unique design. Conveniently, they all have zippers to keep your items secure. What should I store in these cute containers?

It’s pretty incredible how many food products Pikmin has made at this point! We didn’t get the chance to try the Godiva chocolates, but sampling all the different snacks they made for the JR Kyushu collab was amazing. Hopefully they’ll bring more things to other countries!
